Location: Warren, PA

Salary: $80,000.00 USD Annually - $100,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Production Manager. The Production Manager oversees various responsibilities, including direct supervision of Shift Supervisors, the Mixing Room Supervisor, and the Lead. In a fast-paced work environment, the Production Manager demonstrates mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities. They are well-versed in daily and weekly production schedules, customer order tracking, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) on the production floor. Additionally, the Production Manager ensures that supervisors receive necessary training for continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with Maintenance, the Production Manager minimizes downtime. Safety in the production departments is a priority, and they serve as a role model for human safety and advocate for food safety. Lastly, the Production Manager maintains productivity standards, striving for Operational Excellence by balancing efficiency, adherence to schedules, downtime, and quality.


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Accountable for safe work practices


• Accountable for the productivity and production output of all production departments


• Champion company goals, policies, visions and values


• Ensure all general employees and Supervisors are following GMP's and meeting set rates


• Effectively Lead, Coach, mentor and carry out disciplinary action when necessary


• Must maintain Operational Excellence at desired levels factoring in efficiencies, adherence to schedule, down time, and quality


• Works closely with Maintenance to ensure down-time is kept to a minimum.


• Leads, Coaches, Mentors and carries out disciplinary action when necessary

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree preferred


• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.


• Problem solving and analytical skills


• Strong Leadership and Management skills


• Ability to learn and apply new concepts and overcome obstacles with change


• Previous exposure to high volume, high SKU environment


• Ability to work shifts as required


• Microsoft Office Suite


• Auditing preparation and guidance


• Quality System standards, including GMP requirements


• Good decision-making ability


• Strategic thinking


• Excellent communication and delegation skills


• Champions Food Safety, HACCP and SQF
