Description:
Our VoIP Telecommunications team plays a critical role in maintaining the security and business continuity of our enterprise telecommunications network. We're looking for talented individuals who are passionate about technology and committed to delivering exceptional service.



Major Responsibilities:




Network Security and Continuity: Adhere to telecommunications policies to ensure the security and uninterrupted operation of our VoIP network.



Installation and Testing: Install and test VoIP telephone and voice mail components at various locations, following applicable codes, standards, and department policies.



Guidance and Insight: Provide guidance and insight to VoIP Technicians and Telecom Analyst Associates during campus projects.



Service Requests: Execute service ticket requests for complex telephony issues, including completing necessary purchase orders for parts.



Collaboration: Partner with Telecom Implementation Engineers to design, plan, deploy, and support large VoIP solutions across our facilities.



Port Activation and Connectivity: Responsible for port activation, connectivity, testing, and user placements based on available physical infrastructure.



Advanced Programming: Program VoIP telephony systems for complex applications, including advanced call routing.



Wiring and Troubleshooting: Handle small station wiring requests and troubleshoot telephone issues, replacing defective hardware and making necessary software changes.



Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inventory, and system diagrams.



Collaboration and Service Improvement: Collaborate with other departments to enhance VoIP services and design.



Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service, manage client expectations, and establish positive working relationships.



Training and Support: Routinely train and assist VoIP Technician and Telecom Analyst Associates.



Experience Required:

• 1-2 years of experience in telecommunication services, including diagnosing and troubleshooting service issues, wiring, voice mail programming, basic phone networking configuration, and VoIP technologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• VoIP telephony programming experience.


• Familiarity with telephone set features and basic telephony hardware troubleshooting.


• Advanced telephony programming skills.


• Understanding of VoIP telecom and basic networking technologies.


• Ability to work independently and provide guidance to colleagues and vendors.


• Excellent customer service skills.


• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
