Description: Our client is currently seeking a Corporate Security Manager This role will be hybrid onsite in Sacramento, CA.
General Description:
Direct and manage the corporate security team to support physical security activities necessary to protect the employees and assets of the credit union.
Communicate and interact with members, law enforcement, and branch/department personnel to provide assistance ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and procedures.
Navigate complex security challenges, build strong relationships, and drive a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
Tasks, Duties, Functions:
Direct the development of security staff ensuring they are trained, developed, evaluated, and adhere to policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain an efficient and safe operation of the organization's physical security program.
Administer all aspects of physical security necessary to protect employees and assets, including executive protection, managing physical security systems and equipment, and maintaining corporate security policies and procedures.
Manage security threats by identifying, assessing, reporting, and mitigating threats of violence.
Respond to bank robbery calls, providing effective liaison between staff and law enforcement officers, and provide training and awareness for branch and headquarters personnel.
Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance, including workplace violence protection, bank secrecy, and anti-money laundering laws.
Foster a positive and engaging work environment by promoting skill development, coaching for improvement and growth, and ensuring positive employee morale.
Review, analyze, and take appropriate action on procedural recommendations for efficiency and soundness.
Identify, investigate, and respond to member and employee issues and concerns.
Provide relevant information from uncovered fraud accounts to other departments and law enforcement authorities, and respond to law enforcement agencies and financial institutions requesting documentation and/or images to support investigations.
Assess branch and Operations center adherence to corporate security programs and procedures, assisting all areas in attaining these goals.
Review, recommend, and negotiate security vendor contracts.
Manage numerous security-related vendors, including security guard services, and provide ongoing evaluations of these service providers.
Conduct interviews, investigations, and reporting relevant to Violence in the Workplace (VWP SB553) issues, and assist with internal investigations and inquiries.
Develop and facilitate ongoing security and safety training and education for all employees, and lead the Enterprise-wide emergency response and safety team.
Lead or participate in cross-functional, enterprise-wide projects that impact the security posture of the Credit Union
Develop and maintain an understanding of pertinent regulatory requirements and risks, establish and maintain control activities that mitigate those risks, and ensure operational
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice or comparable discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience: Six years or more of progressively responsible management experience within a financial institution overseeing Physical/Corporate Security, Threat Management, Risk Management, or Loss Prevention. Knowledge of institution operations, policies, and procedures. Law enforcement experience preferred.
