Job Overview: Linde is seeking an Analytical Systems Manager in The Woodlands, TX. The Analytical Systems Manager will be responsible for leading a team of analytical engineers and technicians who will assist Operations personnel in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining key analytical systems at Linde's electronics facilities in the US. This team will also be called upon to assist new projects in scoping, FAT i nspections, and commissioning of highly specialized electronics analytical equipment. Primar y Responsibilities: - Manage and develop the analyzer support team for electronics facilities. - Manage contracts for outside analytical services. - Develop/mentor analytical team through hands on support and training in electronics specific analytical technologies. - Develop and perform reporting that highlights the reliability of the analytical systems, looking for problem areas to address. - Work with QA (customer, electronics, corporate) on qualifying analyzers, updating, or writing calibration procedures and standards, responding to customer requests, and troubleshooting quality issues. - Position will be required to be active in the Linde productivity programs. - Understand and adhere to company safety work policies and operating practices. Report safety incidents and near misses. - Support commercial teams and region with presentations and discussions with customers and Linde management. - Become the internal expert on the UHP analytical systems required for Linde Gases US electronics facilities. - Lead team that will help commission and start facility analyzers and analytical system components, including associated cylinders, tubing, purifiers, sample pumps, controls, dilution systems, and analyzer suites. - Lead team who will troubleshoot problems and assist in performing corrective maintenance on analyzers and analytical system components. - Identify and assist in managing spare and replacement system components. - Work with electronics leadership to develop an offering of portable analytical equipment and personnel to support internal projects and for sale of services. - Work with reliability team to establish and maintain operating and maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance schedules for electronics specific analytical and purification systems. - Read, interpret, and maintain (as needed) P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, QA, and MOC policies. This position requires a combination of office work and fieldwork. While position requires leading a team, it will also be required to provide hands-on field support for operations and mentoring and developing the analytical support team. Some after-hours work will be required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to develop working relationships with the plant maintenance teams. Both ad hoc and preplanned travel to plants will be required for this role. Carrying of a cell phone and off hours availability are expected. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Chemistry or Engineering preferred), or equivalent experience. - Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. - Excellent organizational skills are required. - Ability to write and interpret technical procedures and instructions. - Ability to work on multiple projects during a given time frame. - Industrial Gas experience is preferred. - Experience in mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, FTIR, and process analyzers is preferred. - Experience ultra-high purity gas purification systems is preferred. - Basic electrical and instrumental aptitude is desired. - Ability to travel up to 25% within the U.S. and provide after business hours support as needed. - Candidate must be a highly organized self-starter capable of working independently. - Must have excellent communication skills (both orally and written), with an ability to deal with multiple levels of the internal organization, suppliers, and customers. - This is a centralized support role.
