Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the integrity of Ent's consumer loan portfolio through accurate and timely maintenance of post-closed loans. The Consumer Loan Adjustment Specialist Jr (CLAS Jr) assists the Consumer Loan Adjustment Specialist (CLAS) with total loss claims, collateral protection insurance (CPI) matters, and file maintenance or adjustments. The CLAS Jr should possess comprehensive lending knowledge and skills to perform these functions. This position also serves as a backup to the Consumer Loan Servicing Department.

Essential Functions


  • Loan Maintenance - Assist the CLAS with maintenance on loans to include recasting, manual adjustments, waive late fees, move loan requests.

  • Loan Modifications - Assist the CLAS with product add-ons, due date exceptions, CPI charges and refunds, CreditDefender charges, rate adjustments, workout loans, SCRA requests.

  • Total Loss Claims - Assist the CLAS with verifying total loss documents from insurance companies, complete letters of guarantee, filing GAP and MBP claims, post claim checks, release titles, correspond with insurance agents and members.

  • Post Checks - Post payoff checks and release vehicle titles accurately and on time.

  • Loan Reports and Audits - Assist the CLAS with reviewing reports, correcting errors, and reporting issues. Reports include weekly interest, monthly workout loans, employee discount returns and CreditDefender. Assist the CLAS with monthly audits on outstanding GAP, MBP and Total Loss claims.

  • Back up Consumer Loan Servicing Specialists as needed.

  • Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

Minimum Formal Qualifications for Jr. level Position:


  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent.

  • 3+ years combined financial service, customer service, consumer lending, or mortgage lending experience to include at least 1+ years of either consumer or mortgage lending experience.

Minimum Formal Qualifications for Regular level Position:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent.

  • 4+ years combined financial service, customer service, consumer lending, or mortgage lending experience to include at least 2+ years of either consumer or mortgage lending experience.

Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experience.

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:


  • Working knowledge of Consumer Lending business terminology and process flow.

  • Knowledge of industry relevant programs and their application such as GAP and MBP

  • Experience calculating loan interest and payments.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Symitar.

  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical, and mathematical skills.

  • Display positive, professional demeanor and work independently with little supervision.

  • Organized and detail oriented.

  • Able to multi-task and be flexible in an ever-changing environment.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

The pay range for the Jr. level position is: $20 to $25 per Hour (S12)

The pay range for the regular level position is: $22 to $28 per Hour (S13)

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.

This position is eligible for our corporate bonus program based on company performance.
