Position Summary: Support the Distribution Center Manager in overseeing the logistics of delivering Sumitomo Rubber North America Tire Corporation’s products, parts, and accessories. This role manages all warehousing activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, movement, and loading operations, ensuring that the facility meets performance, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Scheduling
Communicate and enforce company policies, ensuring fair and consistent application.
Supervise and schedule warehouse team members, assist with driver scheduling, and manage daily distribution functions to maintain service standards.
Coordinate shipments with carriers and oversee facility operations in the absence of the Distribution Manager.
Operational Efficiency & Safety
Provide warehouse associates with the tools needed for safe and accurate job performance. Ensure payroll records are accurate and submitted on time.
Lead monthly safety meetings to reinforce safety best practices.
Compliance & Training
Adhere to OSHA/MSDS standards; obtain forklift trainer certification.
Set delivery appointments with customers, train Operations Assistants on processes, and manage the asset tracking database.
Coordinate contracts with labor and housekeeping services; maintain reports for scheduling, inventory, CPU tracking, and physical inventory processes.
Supervision & Development
Guide and prioritize tasks for the OTR Drivers, Warehouse Lead, and Warehouse Associates.
Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans for warehouse personnel.

Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years in a distribution center, manufacturing, or operations role, with proven experience in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Training:
Associate’s degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Equivalent experience may substitute for formal education if sufficient to fulfill essential job functions.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and adept at handling multiple assignments simultaneously.
Experience with Oracle ERP, or similar WMS software, TMS, and RF/RFID hardware systems is a plus.
Familiarity with ISO documentation standards and general process flow documentation preferred.
Knowledge of Six Sigma, TQC, Kaizen, Lean, or statistical process controls is a plus.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, sit, walk, and use fingers for extended periods; frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
Work Environment:
Primarily in a warehouse setting with uncontrolled temperatures and occasional work in an office with controlled climate conditions.
