Position Overview

This position will join our growing Cloud and Application Security team with a focus on SaaS and API security. The Security Engineer will functionally support multiple teams in securing the company's SaaS products portfolio and API inventory.  This role provides the opportunity to also gain exposure and experience with other programs in Security Engineering such as Application Security, Vulnerability Management, and Penetration Testing activities.  To be successful in this role, candidates should have experience in complex, fast-paced, technical environments with a passion for technology and process-driven, collaborative problem solving.

What You’ll Do


  • Coordinate with business units to develop SaaS posture standards and drive compliance through monitoring and alerting.


  • Analyze data from SaaS applications to create relevant and appropriate threat alerts.


  • Proactively monitor for SaaS integration risks and Shadow SaaS to reduce risk landscape across the Enterprise.


  • Analyze APIs for security risks and coordinate with development teams in remediation.


  • Provide guidance and knowledge on security best practices for SaaS configuration and secure API development in alignment with Wintrust policies and industry standards.


  • Assist Application Security with Dynamic Code scanning


Qualifications


  • 3-5 years general experience in information security - operations, engineering, incident response, SOC analyst, application security, etc


  • Cybersecurity or related industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA). Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field is a plus, but not required.


  • Experience in auditing SaaS application configurations for security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps


  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards relevant to SaaS environments


  • Experience with API security or implementation. Threat modeling, software development, or cloud security experience is a plus.
