Responsibilities

TranSystems is looking for Storm Debris Monitoring Technician to provide storm debris feedback on assigned project. . 

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that only eligible storm debris is removed, loaded, and hauled.

  • Interface with contractors and crew in the field and report to the Field Supervisor

  • Record information on each load ticket (Monitor may also be trained and expected to operate an automated handheld device to record information)

  • Ensure that debris loads are properly contained in the loading container.

  • Record and document GPS coordinates and photos

  • Monitor contactor safety and report potential issues to the Field Supervisor

  • Record and report any damage resulting from debris removal operations

  • Responsible for working on the site as long as the contract calls for working required hours to include 12-hour shifts, and more when needed. This could also include 7 days.

  • Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Machines, Tools and Equipment:


  • Operate standard office equipment (i.e., personal computer, facsimile, copy machine, etc.)

 

Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Must have a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

  • Effective written and oral communication

  • Ability to learn and follow instructions

  • Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision

 

Physical/Mental Demands:


  • Talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach

  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds daily

Working Conditions:


  • Work in outdoor environment 95% of the time

  • Moderate noise level

  • Travel via automobile on daily basis

  • Ability to work in an outside environment for long periods of time (this may include standing outside for the duration of daily debris removal)

Pay Transparency:

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, Maryland, Connecticut, Ohio, Washington, or NY City, Gannett Fleming TranSystems is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of xxx and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; internal peer equity; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Gannett Fleming TranSystems, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
