ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, hands-on, quality focused, engaged, and reliable to join our team. 

THE POSITION:

As the Maintenance Technician in our Monticello, MN facility you will be responsible for installations, maintenance and repair of production and processing equipment, fabrication of machine guards, installing and repairing of conveyors, replacing motors, tearing down and replacing hydraulic pumps, and troubleshooting machine malfunctions. YOUR TEAM:

You would be a member of the Maintenance department and would report directly to the Maintenance Manager who supports all aspects of maintenance in the Monticello, MN facility. You’d have a Maintenance Technician counterpart in the Minneapolis facility who reports to the Minneapolis Maintenance Manager, as well as a Maintenance Project Manager who is based in Minneapolis but travels between facilities as needed.

YOUR IMPACT:

As a Maintenance Technician with the TCDC maintenance department, you will provide support to production while also providing feedback and insight to the Maintenance Manager that might make our facility more proactive and less reactive to maintenance issues that could arise in the future. You will also provide an outside perspective to processes and improvements.  

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

HS Diploma or Equivalent

Previous on the job and/or relatable experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; extreme heat and vibration.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fume or airborne particles.

The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. 

Skills include mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, welding and electrical, and PLC (programmable logic control). Duties include installation, maintenance and repair of production or processing equipment, fabricate machine guards, installing or repairing conveyers, replacement of motors, tear down or replacement of  pumps, and removes repair equipment from the area, as well as, ensures work area is clean after project completion. Maintenance Mechanics perform troubleshooting and machine overhauls using a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments. At times they may works with outside vendors.  Additionally, Maintenance Mechanics may provide training to less experienced maintenance staff.
