Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, managing payments, and ensuring the company's financial operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and experience with bookkeeping software.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Accounts Payable (AP):


    • Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and approval.

    • Prepare and issue payments (checks, electronic transfers, etc.).

    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.

    • Monitor and maintain accounts payable records.

    • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.



  • Accounts Receivable (AR):


    • Generate and issue customer invoices.

    • Record and track incoming payments in a timely manner.

    • Reconcile customer accounts and handle discrepancies.

    • Follow up on outstanding payments and manage collections.

    • Maintain accurate AR records and reports.



  • General Bookkeeping:


    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

    • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.

    • Record financial transactions and post them to the appropriate ledgers.

    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

    • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.



  • Financial Reporting:


    • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

    • Provide support for audits and tax preparation.



  • Communication & Collaboration:


    • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., finance, operations) to ensure proper financial management.

    • Communicate effectively with clients, customers, and vendors regarding billing and payment issues.




    Qualifications:



    • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with a focus on AP and AR processes.

    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.

    • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred).
