Brief Description:

The Fuller Youth Institute (FYI) is seeking a temporary on-call copywriter with a focus on core marketing copy and promotional emails estimated at 150-250 words per email. This person will assist the FYI team in marketing FYI resources and training. This role requires a creative, detail-oriented writer who can craft compelling emails, clear calls to action, and informative content that drives the overall mission of the Fuller Youth Institute. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit communications and email marketing and an understanding of how to inspire action through writing.

Essential Functions:

• Copywriting
  • Write and edit persuasive, engaging copy for email marketing campaigns under the leadership of the Managing Editor and the Creative Director.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Editor and the Creative Director to create a cohesive voice for Fuller Youth Institute for email marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure all written content aligns with FYI’s mission, values, and branding guidelines.
  • Understand FYI’s audience of youth leaders, parents of young people, and senior leaders to tailor messaging that resonates.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably within the nonprofit sector or mission-driven organizations.
• Strong understanding of email marketing and content creation for FYI’s audience.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content tailored to diverse audiences.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment.
• Ability to prioritize, maintain, and complete short-term projects.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes.
• Demonstrated attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion; direct experience in culturally diverse work and/or ministry environments required.
• Good communication and collaboration skills are required.
• Youth ministry knowledge and experience are highly preferred.
• Servant heart and a team attitude are vitally important to the work ethos at FYI.

• This position is available for remote work within the United States. Subject to payroll state approval by Fuller Theological Seminary

Pay Scale:

• Hourly rate the seminary expects to pay: $65.00 per hour USD
