Responsibilities
Develop influential relationships with key stakeholders across functions. Be the consultative partner, a trusted advisor, advocate and primary point of contact for definition of business needs and problems.
Exude mindset and demonstrated behavior of "extreme ownership" for the ISC2 ecosystem across stakeholders and product.
Navigate ambiguity, manage conflicting priorities, and facilitate challenging conversations.
Contribute to the creation of product vision, design, UX experience and alignment with strategic priorities with stakeholders. Communicate the product and portfolio vision to the core team and keep impacted teams contemporaneously informed, factoring in dependencies, etc.
Own and maintain the product backlog. Accountable for its contents, prioritization, acceptance criteria, and clear, actionable stories.
Participate in team demos, presentations, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc., and all appropriate Agile framework ceremonies.
Set priorities and actively participate in team planning. Set expectations with stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.
Consult in validation, testing and final approval of features prior to end user acceptance (UAT).
Monitor and maintain the product health, supporting long-term product viability and efficiency, and balancing long- and short-term and costs with desired outcomes.
Analyze feasibility, risk, trade-offs, cost of delay ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product suite.
Potentially, manage less experienced product owners and business analysts that contribute to the overall backlog and definition for projects and solutions.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies
High level of proven business expertise needed to set clear priorities for product and understand business value impacts
Experience in developing strong stakeholder relationships and influencing across multiple organizational boundaries
Demonstrated experience leading varied audiences through the development of complex ideas, issues and designs
Ability to lead varied audiences through census building
Proven experience with Agile practices and expectations
Comfortable with making decisions with some level of uncertainty
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of association industry required
Knowledge of cyber security industry preferred
Knowledge of relevant products and portfolio strongly preferred
Strong experimental mindset to drive innovation amongst uncertainty and exploit market opportunities
Proven track record of delivering innovative technology solutions to business partners
Skilled at translating business needs into technology features/stories.
