Position Summary: McCarthy Holdings Inc. is excited to add a Quality Advisor to our National Quality team. The Quality Advisor will partner cross-regionally with various teams within the organization to standardize, improve, and roll-out key processes and procedures. The Quality Advisor will be reporting to the National Quality Director. This person can be based out of the Sacramento (preferred) or St. Louis office. Operational Execution:
  • Executes on the objectives of the regions to enhance the national quality program
  • Manages through initiatives that will impact all projects at McCarthy. This includes identifying project goals, project teams, building a agreed-upon schedule, identifying current state and future state processes, and facilitates coordination of documentation
  • Leads the communication of the effort across regions
  • Creates training plans for all project efforts
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet their needs, the company’s objectives, and comply with applicable regulations
  • Identifies user groups and champions across the regions
  • Partners with Other Quality Directors to achieve objectives
  • Assists Departments in the management of change through implementation of proposed recommendations
  • Leverages strong interpersonal skills to interact in team environment and foster relationships
  • Have experience with technical activities, including preconstruction and operations
  • Ability to align process improvement concepts with the McCarthy Teammates who are doing the work
  • Be able to communicate the “why” of the Quality efforts and set context to all partners
  • Implements business processes while developing positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers
  • Responsible for analyzing and documenting business requirements and translating them into functional specifications for software development
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to ensure that software solutions meet business needs and drive operational efficiency
Quality Systems:
  • Develops, implements, and maintains Quality systems and tools required to support the function(s) nationally; including but not limited to systems for Lessons Learned, Root Cause Analysis, Nonconformance Reporting, and Corrective and Preventative Action Management
  • Visually and personally engages with employees at all levels to educate on Quality systems, results, issues, and focus areas to drive continuous improvement
  • Develops key metrics and indicators to measure, trend manage and improve key Quality attributes
  • Collaborates with regional SMEs on the development, maintenance and reporting from standard construction inspection checklists
  • Conducts Root Cause Analysis with Regional Leadership and responsible for ensuring Corrective and Preventative Actions are identified, implemented, and measured
  • Accountable for effectiveness and continuously improving core Quality Systems
  • Partner closely with individuals and teams to consider new and better ways to apply technology to drive greater business outcomes (improved efficiency, safety, quality, profitability, etc.). Leverage techniques such as process mapping and user stories to translate conceptual requirements into clear and detailed requirements
  • Evaluate solution designs and implementations from vendors and internal partners. Recommend optimal options for project groups based on objective measures and alignment with enterprise goals
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction and/or Project Management required
  • 5+ years experience, within the Construction Industry preferred, through all phases of project delivery
  • Proficiency in using tools like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lucidchart
  • Broad functional, business, industry and leadership experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical, problem solving, and risk assessment skills
  • Experience in implementing business processes while developing positive, collaborative relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to travel 25-30%

For California locations only, the salary range for this position is: $115,000 - $145,000. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
