JOB SUMMARY:

The Parts Supervisor will supervise the assigned Parts area and ensure a well-qualified and trained team is always readily available to represent Empire. As Parts Supervisor, the role will be in charge of supervising and developing staff to ensure client needs are met in a timely and effective manner. The role will need to be able to communicate with clients to address their needs and concerns. The Parts Supervisor will collaborate with parts management and other internal business units to create, foster, and maintain a professional and well-organized environment for clients and employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :


  • Supervise Parts team to ensure operational goals are met with a focus on client experience.
  • Maintain outstanding client relations. Resolve client issues and escalate to next level leadership as appropriate.
  • Manage Caterpillar and Non-Cat part inventories, ordering process, return process. Works to achieve established 98.5% inventory goal accuracy at audit.
  • Review and implement team scheduling to provide adequate coverage to support department's needs.
  • Develop and maintain an outstanding staff of professional people. Ensure staff is courteous, helpful, and informed.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to and provide recommendations to next level leadership on process improvements.
  • Perform client visits as necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Complete yearly performance assessments with assigned employees. Provide regular performance feedback to employees.
  • Create an environment of ownership and personal accountability where each person is responsible and accountable for their performance.
  • Ensure to uphold and continually improve upon the EMPIRE Employee Experience.
  • Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards .


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain an effective working relationship with Service, other Empire divisions, branch stores, and vendors.
  • Provide necessary reporting as defined by next level leadership.
  • Assume role of safety-first responder.
  • Maintain knowledge of parts operating procedures. Investigate and implement new and better operational techniques.
  • Assist with Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) activities that include r eviewing results, conducting meetings with team, developing/implementing action plans based on feedback.
  • Seeks continuous improvement opportunities for self and assigned area of responsibility.
  • Assists with compliance audits and site assessments.
  • Works within and promotes corporate values.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Must have completed Caterpillar Parts Pro™ program.
  • Understanding of next level leader's responsibilities to assist with operational functions in the leader's absence.
  • Must have a solid understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of three years industry related experience.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
