Job Responsibilities:
- Efficiently repair breakdowns to maintain production across all facility areas.
- Perform preventative maintenance to support fast-paced production operations.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic issues on all plant equipment.
- Complete work orders promptly and to the highest quality standards.
- Communicate effectively between shifts, ensuring detailed log book entries.
- Accurately and efficiently troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Adhere to company safety and GMP policies/guidelines in all tasks.
- Support the plant's Continuous Improvement Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with department managers, line operators, quality assurance personnel, and contractors.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an industrial technologies certificate program is preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive technical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in the meat industry.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures for safe equipment operation.
- TIG welding on stainless steel is a plus.
- Competency in arc and gas welding.
- Experience with high-speed packaging and processing equipment.
- Electrical knowledge and experience are advantageous.
