Job Description:

Members of the Valet Services team are responsible for providing remarkable customer service to all patients, visitors, employees, departments and all others with whom he/she interacts. They are to promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor and willingness to help. Staff working in this capacity will welcome and assist patients, their families and visitors entering the facility while answering questions, providing information and directing people to the location they need. Individuals should be mature, dependable and caring with the ability to communicate courteously and effectively. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.

This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies of this job require the employee maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.

Cordially greets visitors and patients upon arrival. Ascertains patients and or visitors needs and directs them accordingly with respect for patient privacy.Provides assistance to patients and visitors by obtaining wheelchairs, or other services as needed.Escorts or transports patients who need help to their destination within CARTI.Assists patients entering or exiting vehicles.Ability to multitask and tend to several customers at once.Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas/levels, and report any security or safety problems to manager.Monitor commercial and transport vehicle traffic for the purpose of loading/unloading patients to ensure proper parking and efficient traffic flow.Able to effectively re-route traffic to alternate parking levels or locations when the parking facility reaches maximum capacity.Employee shall maintain their personal hygiene and appearance to project a professional image appropriate for their assignment.Assigned uniforms will be worn at all times and will be kept neat, clean and in good repair.Valet stations should be maintained in a neat and professional manner.Complete safety trainings as required.Performs related duties as required.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE and REGISTRATION:
High school diploma or equivalentBLS Certification

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Minimum of one year work experience in a customer service environment.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.The employee is regularly exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather and making the body uncomfortable.Ability to work in a standing position for hours at a time.
