10.2 Update: Great news, we have 2 Sr. Software Engineer positions with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas! I am still gathering a few more details and working on setting up a call. Their team is looking for someone to design, develop and maintain java applications. They would like from this person to have 6+ years working in Java. They work in an AWS environment. Banking and financial expertise is strongly preferred. *more details to come*

Sr. Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, with a strong focus on Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Spring Batch, AWS Cloud services, and Java design patterns, PostgreSQL, Oracle and Angular for front-end. This role requires excellent coding skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications.

  • Implement and integrate applications using Spring Boot, Apache Camel, and Spring Integration.

  • Develop and deploy applications on AWS Cloud infrastructure.

  • Utilize Java design patterns to create robust, scalable, and maintainable code.

  • Work with PostgreSQL and Oracle for database design, development, and maintenance.

  • Develop front-end components using Angular.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a minimum of 6 years of experience.

  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language.

  • Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Spring Integration.

  • Proficiency in Apache Camel for enterprise integration patterns.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, ECS Fargate, Lambda, RDS).

  • Implement IAC using Terraform.

  • Solid understanding of Java design patterns and best practices.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL for database Management.

  • Strong coding skills with a focus on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle for database management.

  • Experience with Angular for front-end development.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in computer science or a related field.

  • Certification in AWS or relevant technologies.

  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
