Job Summary:  

SCA is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our fleet, shop, and all outdoor spaces/aeras.

This position involves a variety of tasks that are essential for ensuring a safe and attractive environment. You will be responsible for tasks such as landscaping, debris removal, and general maintenance of yard equipment. A strong work ethic and ability to work in various weather conditions are essential. Our ideal candidate is dependable, enjoys physical labor, and has a passion for this type of work.

• Hours: 10 AM – 6:30 PM


• Location: 285 Pawnee St A, San Marcos, CA 92078


• Pay: $22 per hour

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of yard and surrounding areas


• Assist in landscaping tasks including planting, pruning, and mowing


• Utilize yard equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers effectively and safely


• Remove debris and litter from designated areas


• Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors


• Follow safety protocols while performing yard work


• Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently

Responsibilities

• Operate high-pressure washing equipment to clean surfaces effectively


• Assess cleaning needs of various surfaces and develop suitable washing strategies


• Maintain and service pressure washing equipment to ensure optimal performance


• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of chemicals


• Interact with clients to schedule appointments and provide estimates


• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately


• Keep records of jobs completed and materials used for invoicing purposes

Requirements

• Ability to operate yard maintenance equipment safely


• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects


• Excellent time management skills


• Attention to detail to ensure high-quality maintenance


• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions


• Reliable transportation to and from job site

• Light maintenance duties such as washing and cleaning both the exterior and interior of the fleet.


• Cleaning the exterior of the parking lot of the site location.


• May be required to complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
