OVERVIEW

Location: Remote, United States (Travel: Willingness to travel to user locations within the US periodically)
A Director in Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of multiple programs, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with our strategic goals. Responsible for the successful development, implementation, schedule, and cost performance of a directorate through subordinate program managers, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Acquires follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and supports new business development by contributing to major proposals personally, or through subordinate program managers. Manages a directorate within a division and has supervisory and developmental responsibilities within a functional area. The Director manages one or more projects or programs and supervises professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines. Maintains aggressive efforts to achieve objectives and trains and supervises personnel. Responsible for all phases of the program budget, performing analysis for contract reviews with Unanet. Utilizes Enterprise Management System to maintain Quality Assurance for all products and services. Prepare Staffing Plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations. May be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff. Assign staff and provide technical direction as necessary to complete task. Monitor contract, subcontract, and funding; prepare forecasts of program financial performance. Develop and deliver required contract, departmental, project and/or financial reports. The proposed salary range for this position is $147,000-$220,502. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement operational strategies aligned within your Directorate
Create and implement initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all operational functions
Explore new markets and create new corporate offerings
Identify, track and mitigate portfolio risk
Within your portfolio of programs, manage operational budgets effectively, allocating resources to maximize efficiency while controlling costs
Identify areas for cost-saving measures and process improvements
Meet/exceed approved revenue and profit target
Ensure contract and task ceiling and hours are maximized
Identify scope and ceiling increase opportunities on existing contracts
Identify adjacent work with the same customer (aka - Organic Growth)
Actively conduct customer engagement, participate in community events, gate reviews, proposal support, solutioning, review teams
Ensure all contractual deliverables are met/exceeded to the customer's satisfaction via transparent management of each program
Ensure Comprehensive Professional Development for all assigned employees
Partner with HR to Execute Talent Acquisition (Hiring, termination, and interviews)
Actively engage in Performance Management and day to day personnel management
Within your Directorate, build and maintain productive and positive professional relationships with clients and their respective leadership organizations
Proactively shape client satisfaction and CPAR ratings with regular intentional client engagement
Create, track, and maintain metrics for both the design and development of cost, schedule, performance, and risk metrics
Ensure effective communication is always maintained between requirements teams, development teams, company leadership, customers, and stakeholders
Prepares staffing plans to ensure skill and labor mix will support contract operations
Develop and maintain the project management plan for planning and development efforts
Assist planning and development teams by removing roadblocks, mentoring, training, and advocating for resources as required to successful project delivery
Ensure the risk management framework is followed as an integral part of project execution
Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the prescribed contract LCAT
Performs other duties as required
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance(or contract required clearance level)
Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with 12+ years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. At least 4 years in a management capacity.
Relevant experience within DoD, Federal, Intelligence Community, Commercial Space (operations, acquisitions, engineering, research and development)
Relevant experience at a space operations center, System Program Office, Headquarters, Combatant Command
3+ years of experience as a program manager
Extensive working knowledge of program management practices to create, track and maintain cost, schedule, performance, and risk metrics
Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework within the DoD
Excellent knowledge of MS Office products
Working knowledge of agile management constructs (Agility, JIRA, Rally, etc.)
Working knowledge of change management principles and practices
