Compensation Range:

$135,000 to $155,000 + Annual Short Term Incentive Program Bonus eligibility

Overview

As a Senior Manager, Strategic Finance and IR, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning and analysis activities to support strategic modeling and decision-making and foster strong relationships with the investment community. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide valuable insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and provide similar insights into Summit's performance, strategies and financial outlook to investors. This strategically important, hybrid role is ideally suited for a self-motivated individual with strong financial acumen and capabilities that are interested in contributing significantly to our company's success in the financial markets and long-term relationships with our investors.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain complex financial models to support long-term planning and scenario analysis for the Summit portfolio. Long-term modeling to include inputs from various FP&A partners in the business, strategy and corporate FP&A teams.
  2. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, highlighting trends and noteworthy discussion points for Board meetings and Earnings release.
  3. Support the evaluation of investment opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions, providing financial due diligence and ROI analysis.
  4. Track and monitor research reports and analyst models to identify perception or communication gaps
  5. Monitor and report on industry and peer company information and practices by tracking research reports, news, earnings calls and other relevant resources.
  6. Develop strong relationships and collaborate effectively with key internal stakeholders.
  7. Add rigor to existing processes and tools surrounding market intelligence.
  8. Lead development of materials for quarterly earnings preparation process, including: Earnings Release, Presentation, Script, Q&A. Interact with internal teams to obtain data and perform quality assurance on content.
  9. Plan and manage investor events -conferences, roadshows - investor days, with investor presentations, briefing materials, fact sheets, etc.
  10. Provide regular shareholder analysis including peer benchmarking and progress against annual KPIs.
  11. Work directly with stock surveillance firm to monitor trading and market activity.
  12. Manage IR budget including maintaining vendor contracts and relationships
  13. Identify and communicate strategic and tactical ideas for the continuous improvement of the IR program.
  14. Opportunity to advance to external facing role serving as key point of contact with investment community in responding to inquiries from the buy and sell side.
  15. Contribute to ESG/Corporate Governance initiatives where there is overlap amongst the functions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in complex financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in an IR role as evidenced by continuing education and participation in organizations such as NIRI, FEI, CFA society, etc
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven organizational and project management experience successfully completing projects
  • Pro-active communicator who builds relationships quickly by building trust with internal and external stakeholders

Education & Experience:

  • BA in Finance, Accounting, or other related field.
  • MBA or relevant certification (CFA, CPA) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or M&A fields and/or 3+ years of relevant experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or similar role within a public-traded company
  • Capital Markets background is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
