The PC Technician is responsible for assembling, delivering and installing computer equipment, loading employee workstations with operating systems and software, and conducting tests to ensure full functionality prior to delivery. The PC Technician also provides desk side support and troubleshooting.

Compensation
$22.31 - $26.50 Non exempt 12 Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive salaries that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.
What you'll do
Install workstations, monitors, and peripherals throughout the organization as scheduled
Baseload new workstations and load additional software as needed per employee
Test new workstations, monitors, printers, and related equipment
Provide desk side support to on campus employees
Inventory, process orders for, and deliver computer peripherals to employees either on campus or by mail
Prepare workstations for disposal by wiping or removing storage drives and documenting completed work
Assist the asset manager during all stages of the asset management lifecycle
Maintain the organization of workstation storage and preparation areas
Analyze the impact of Workday's bi-annual updates and ensure a smooth transition while maximizing system functionality.
What you need
High School diploma or equivalency required
Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that qualifies for company automobile insurance
Bonus if you have
Technical classes or relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) preferred
Previous experience as a PC Technician, Field Service Technician or similar role in a corporate environment is preferred.
Previous experience using an IT ticketing system preferred
Previous knowledge and experience supporting multi-monitor workstations preferred
