Job Description:


As a Systems Engineer at Liveops, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure.   




 




The Purpose of Your Role 




You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our systems, networks, and servers. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical requirements, implement best practices, and support the overall technology roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, expertise in systems administration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.   




 




The Qualifications We’re Looking For 



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 


  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or similar are preferred.




  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in systems engineering, systems administration, or a related role.  




  • In-depth knowledge of systems administration, including server administration (Windows and Linux), networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.   




  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be a self-motivated self-starter that can initiate ideas amidst ambiguity.  




  • Ability to act as the informed captain and lead new initiatives concerning workflows and support.  




  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies, such as Active Directory, DNS, DCHP, and Group Policy.  




  • Thorough knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP, and familiarity with hybrid cloud environments.  




  • Thorough knowledge of Identity and Access Management services, such as Active Directory, Azure AD, and Okta.  




  • General knowledge of monitoring and performance tools. 



  • Thorough knowledge of low-code/no-code platforms, such as MuleSoft.

  • Strong understanding of systems security principles, including vulnerability management, access controls, and encryption.

  • Recent and proficient scripting and automation using languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Thorough knowledge of utilizing APIs for automation of work.

  • Well-versed in producing detailed documentation.

  • Thorough knowledge of CI/CD for engineering processes and tools.

  • Experience managing Identity and Security in Salesforce Service Cloud.

  • Customer-focused curiosity, passion for technology, pragmatic thinking, ability to jump into an ambiguous area, and break down complex problems.

  • Design, implement, and maintain the organization's systems infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies.

  • Configure and manage operating systems, server software, and applications, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability.

  • Monitor systems performance, conduct regular capacity planning, and implement proactive measures to optimize system performance and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technology standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement appropriate security measures.

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring the integrity and availability of critical systems and data.

  • Manage system configurations and changes, following change management processes and maintaining accurate documentation.

  • Manage and maintain Salesforce Service Cloud Identity and Security configurations.
    Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve systems efficiency, reliability, and system integration.

  • Learning into proactiveness and effective communication in pursuit of cross-functional alignment.

  • Understanding and solving business needs at scale with high-quality solutions.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
