We are seeking a talented and motivated UX Designer to join our Digital Product Design team. As a UX Designer, you will work on designing intuitive, user-centric experiences for both Publix’s website and native mobile app. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, research, and product management, to ensure holistic and seamless experiences for our users. Your work will directly impact millions of customers, helping them shop with ease and efficiency. Our Digital Product Design team is focused on creating outstanding online and mobile quick service and grocery shopping experiences for our customers. We design solutions that make grocery shopping easy, enjoyable, and accessible for all. We are made up of highly skilled UX designers and researchers, who collaborate to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. As a member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that span from usability improvements to large-scale feature rollouts.  

Responsibilities:


  • Design user-centric solutions for the Publix website and mobile app, focusing on usability, accessibility, and overall customer experience.  

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define project goals and requirements.  

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate design ideas clearly and efficiently.  

  • Conduct usability testing and research to gather insights and iterate on designs.  

  • Participate in design critiques and offer constructive feedback to peers.  

  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the customer experience.  

   


  • Bachelors degree in Digital Media, Human Centered Design, or equivalent certification. 

  • 3+ years of experience in UX or product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating work across web and mobile platforms.  

  • Proficiency in Publix’s preferred design tool, Figma.

  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing, with the ability to translate findings into actionable design improvements.  

  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, including accessibility standards and responsive design.  

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and articulate design decisions to stakeholders.  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.  

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to facilitate design handoff and collaboration with engineers. 


  • Experience designing for e-commerce platforms, particularly in the grocery or retail space.  

  • Knowledge of design systems and how to contribute to maintaining and evolving them.  

  • Previous experience working in an agile development environment.  

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.  

  • Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
