This position starts at $20.15/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. We have open positions for first shift.

This facility operates five days a week and produces Sausage Patties, Sausage Links and Roll Sausage.


Job Summary


Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for the following duties in a rotation schedule: placing a stamp on the hogs in the production area; taking the tags from the escalator, placing them into a sterilized bag and hooking them on the gambrel at the designated station; removing ears and face; removing the ear tags and back tags using equipment supplied for the removal process and place the tags on the escalator leading to the next associate. Responsible for setting up area with all needed equipment. Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor. Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent. May occasionally be required to lift/carry up to 50lbs.


Requirements


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Must also adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Must be willing and able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds.


• Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.


• Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.


• Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods up to 12 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.


• Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.


• Must be willing and able to work in a wet environment.


• Must be willing and able to complete cycles in less than 10 seconds.
