Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Perform general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Review and ensure accuracy in all journal entries.
Analyze and report on financial data to assist management with strategic decision-making.
Assist with audits by preparing documentation and supporting schedules.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Prepare and maintain fixed asset schedules.
Coordinate and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Supervise and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
Assist in process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Experience with financial statement preparation and audit processes.
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
