Our interns don't run errands - they're here to make a real impact at the company!  As a BAF Quality Engineering Intern, you will be an integral part of the Big Ass Fans Operations team. In this role, you will work alongside the Quality Engineering team to create product work instructions that meet the needs of our industrial an residential customers. In your first week, you'll dive into an exciting project you'll work on throughout your internship. At the end, you'll get to present your findings and recommendations to BAF executives. We'll provide a supportive, fast-paced environment focused on learning; you bring your attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. Our success is a result of the diversity of the Big Ass Fans team. Responsibilities

• Develop methods for inspection, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.


• Understand and interpret blueprints with a basic understanding of inspection and sampling techniques. 


• Perform Quality Engineering tasks using established procedures.


• Manage small-scale projects like product projects, continuous improvement projects, etc.


• Discern quality standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in engineering coursework leading to Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree


• Excellent written and verbal skills


• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Google Docs with excellent computer skills


• Strong analytical skills with a common-sense approach to problem-solving


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• Experience and knowledge of external quality certification (ISI9001) preferred


• Highly motivated, strong team player, with good ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary
