Senior AccountantAccounting Office

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary

The Senior Accountant has primary responsibility for multiple complex accounting tasks and/or special initiatives of the University, as well as support for the implementation of the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. This includes, but is not limited to, account reconciliations, audit workpaper preparation, financial statement preparation, budget preparation, and financial analysis. Prepares various financial analyses for the Controller and Assistant Controller, including analyses related to various vendor agreements, capital projects or other projects as needed. Assist with all other projects as assigned.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule at the manager's discretion.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field* Six years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Masters of Business Administration (MBA)* Certified Public Accountant (CPA)* Four or more years' directly related experience in an educational institution or health care setting
