Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Desktop Administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.

Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of New York, NY, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 2 years of Information Technology experience
• Evaluate user requests and requirements and recommend effective IT hardware technological solutions
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Assist with administering corporate infrastructure including Active Directory, Email, and various computer management applications
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, system upgrades and replacements for employees IT needs
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain software applications & infrastructure and perform root cause analysis
• Provide advanced support for operating system drivers, software and firmware
• Actively monitoring the ticket queue and managing requests through to completion. Manage escalations from team members
• Perform housekeeping on IT rooms, setup and installation of Temporary training rooms / Office wide events - Expo's, Comms room patching
• Supports Business changes - ensure involvement in early stages of planning
• Provide support to users for home connection and work from home set up -- Firm laptop or personal laptop + virtual machine
• Manage own workload to ensure that assigned activities are completed within targets defined within SLA's/OLA's
• Demonstrate high levels of customer care behaviors at all times and adopt an approach that shows consistent commitment to providing a customer focused quality service
• Actively participate in a program of Continuous Service Improvement taking ownership of actions that deliver results
• On-call - Participate in rotating schedule providing afterhours and weekend support may be required

Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation
• Shell scripting experience is a plus (Windows PowerShell, Perl, Windows cmd line)
• Working Knowledge of strategic platforms such as Microsoft, Networks and Security, WAN, LAN
• Proficiency in MS Office and related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project). Advanced skill in data manipulation or automation using Excel functionality
• Familiarity with Project Management Tools and Processes is a benefit
• Experience of Jira and Agile delivery processes is a perk
• A wide range of experience in a Technology role, preferably in the financial or Investment Banking industry is an added advantage
• Able to demonstrate strong team leadership skills
• Proven experience of adherence to detailed processes
• Self-motivated personality with a high level of attention to detail
• The ability to maintain and develop formal and informal relationships with key stakeholders
• The ability to multi-task in a high paced and demanding environment
• Experience with ServiceNow (or alternative ticketing system), Windows OS 10, 11 is a plus
• Industry standard certifications a plus such as: (MCSA, A+, Network+, CCENT, CCT)
• Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills
• Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources
• Exceptional Organizational Skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude
• Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
