Summary of Position


The Assistant Director for Alumni Engagement works with the Senior Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement and the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement to develop and execute engagement strategies which utilize events and programming to help build a culture of philanthropy among the College's current and future alumni. Manages and executes Reunion Weekend, leveraging cross-campus partnerships via Gold Event model. Partners with regional advancement officers, volunteers, athletics, admissions, academic departments, the President's office, and Marketing and Communications to plan in-person events that strengthen alumni connections on campus and regional, coordinating event details and logistics. Liaises with the admissions office to execute alumni engagement strategies that support enrollment goals.

As the
Assistant Director for
Alumni Engagement
, you will:




  • In partnership with the Reunion Weekend planning committee (Gold/Tier 1), plan and implement reunion weekend, including all related mailings; collaborate with the Associate Director of Alumni Relations and Senior Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Engagement, reunion committees and others to facilitate an exceptional experience for alumni and guests.

  • In partnership with campus partners, plan and implement regional alumni programs and events, including all related mailings to facilitate an exceptional experience for alumni and guests

  • Executes alumni engagement strategies supporting Enrollment goals; liaises with partners in admissions office to ensure 100% of requests for volunteers and connections are met, supports volunteer activities and communications, facilitates timely feedback to volunteers and campus partners.

  • Manages semi-annual solicitation, installation, and ordering of engraved bricks. Manages supplies of alumni giveaways. Supports annual alumni awards nomination process. Support Gator Give Day and meet customer service needs.

  • Occasional Overnight Travel required

Experience and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider years experience in high education and donor relations in lieu of a degree.

  • 1-3 years of relative experience to the position's essential functions

  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills and enthusiasm for working with diverse populations are a must.

  • Comfortable and competent in quantitative work, possess strong computing skills and have the ability to learn new software.

  • The ability to recruit, motivate and manage volunteers and donors.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively in a highly collaborative environment

  • Demonstrated and extensive problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to build relationships and foster relationship development

YOUR COMPENSATION


New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.


This is a non-exempt position and the starting pay rate range for this position is $19.20 per hour.
