St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking a Dining Room Worker. Join a team that has worked together to achieve the ranking of "Best College Food in Wisconsin" by students on Niche and is top-ranked nationally.



The hours are generally Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. This position will work every 5th weekend along with occasional special events.

The Dining Room Worker is responsible for:

  Set up and clean up, stocking, and replenishing food during meal times.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitoring the serving line and dining room during the meal periods.

  
  


• 
  

  Answering customer's questions regarding Marketplace areas and food/drink choices.

  
  


• 
  

  Cleaning and sanitizing all work areas, equipment, supplies, and utensils.

  
  


• 
  

  Serving as weekend Dining Room student supervisor on scheduled weekends.

  
  

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  

  High School Diploma or equivalent

  
  


• 
  

  2 years experience working in high volume or retail food service settings.

  
  


• 
  

  Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse campus environment or commitment to do so as an employee of St. Norbert College.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Must be able to stand and walk 8 hours per day.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to interact professionally with coworkers and customers, particularly in conflict situations.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to communicate politely and resolve customer service issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Skilled in basic math computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  
  


• 
  

  Skilled at setting a good example for others.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to concentrate and focus in a noisy environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to pass a post offer functional capacity test.
