POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager of Dual Credit and P-20 Partnerships provides management of daily operations and reports to the Sr. Director, Academic Excellence and Support at Joliet Junior College. Serves as the liaison between the College and District 525 feeder high schools; promotes and facilitates dual credit and other college readiness initiatives designed for high school students. The manager works collaboratively with Admissions and Recruitment on efforts to recruit high school students into dual credit classes, as well as other college readiness initiatives, and develops and implements strategic marketing plans to create pathways to enrollment as full-time JJC students following high school graduation. Responsible for maintaining, updating, and developing new agreements for dual credit and P-20 initiatives, as well as assisting college and high school faculty with developing and maintaining seamless college readiness pathways between feeder high school and JJC. In collaboration with the Sr. Director, Academic Excellence and Support, the manager ensures that the dual credit program is administered in accordance with guidelines established by Joliet Junior College, Illinois Community College Board, and Illinois State Board of Education.





ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develops and maintains a collaborative working relationship with both external community partners and internal JJC faculty, staff, and administration.
2. Assists in implementing the infrastructure, systems and culture needed to support a sustainable dual credit program.
3. Serves as the principal point of contact between high school partners and career centers, JJC faculty and staff, regarding concerns related to scheduling, credentialing, procedures, deadlines, etc.
4. Collects, organizes, monitors and reports student success rates for dual credit courses. Analyzes trends, metrics and data to provide quantitative and qualitative evidence to support recommendations.
5. Serves as the chair of the Dual Credit Advisory Board (DCAB), leading bi-annual meetings with dual credit stakeholders and facilitating ad-hoc meeting opportunities as needed.
6. Facilitate the development for new and redesigned dual credit and P-20 initiatives, submitting recommendations to the Sr. Director, Academic Excellence and Support for approval and further direction.
7. Manage daily operations of dual credit and P-20 programming, including supervision of Dual Credit staff. Includes evaluating performance, hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination.
8. Collaborate with External Communications and Marketing to ensure that dual credit and P-20 partnerships are promoted and advertised to the community and area partners.
9. Participates in the strategic planning process by making recommendations for new and/or revised procedures. Supports the dual credit office management goals for recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
10. Develops and implements a communication plan that assists parents, students and instructors to better understand dual credit and make informed decisions relative to education and career goals, and works with partner schools to establish the value of providing dual credit through JJC.
11. Manage course enrollment and withdrawal processes, ensuring that eligible students are properly enrolled in and withdrawn from dual credit courses.
12. Manage the dual credit Memorandum's of Understanding (MOUs) with partner schools, including revisions and routing to ensure understanding and approval from all necessary stakeholders.
13. Work with Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness to generate and report all relevant data to Student Development and Academic Affairs departments, as well as President's Cabinet when requested.
14. Demonstrate knowledge of national trends and research related to dual credit programming and P-20 college readiness initiatives.
15. Manage daily operations of college bridge programs and other college readiness initiatives.
16. Participate in events and outreach activities with external partners, including but not limited to Discover JJC, High School Counselors Breakfast, Superintendents Breakfast, etc. which foster student recruitment, enrollment and strengthen relationships with K-12 partners.
17. Monitor the budget and expenditures for Dual Credit, submitting requests, recommendations, and concerns to the Sr. Director, Academic Excellence and Support.
18. Facilitate efforts to pursue grants related to dual credit programming and P-20 initiatives.
19. Participate in College and Career Readiness staff meetings, as well as committees such as College Readiness Committee, Dual Credit Advisory Board, Enrollment Management Committee, etc.
20. Demonstrate support for JJC staff diversity plan.
21. Perform other related duties as assigned.





MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's degree in education, marketing, public relations, communications, or related area.
1. Three (3) years of supervisory experience, including experience with hiring and training staff.
2. Strong and collaborative interpersonal, communication, computer, organizational, and management skills.
3. Ability to travel to District 525 high schools as well as dual credit and P-20 meetings and events.
4. Previous experience with preparing reports, presentations, and promotional materials.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook).
6. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Master's degree in education, marketing, public relations, communications, or related area.
2. Two (2) years of experience with dual credit, either secondary or post-secondary.
3. Knowledge of a student information system (Colleague, Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.)
4. Two years of community college experience.
5. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
6. Demonstrated multicultural competence.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.



Internal candidates must adhere to the terms of employment regarding length of time in current position as outlined in their union contract.
