Primary Location:4800 Preston Park Boulevard, Plano, Texas, 75093We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Job Summary:The adult education literacy (AEL) lead for quality assurance will act as a single point of contact to the Texas Workforce Commission and effectively lead auditing and observation of work to evaluate compliance with policies and procedures and adherence to grant requirements. This position will also collaborate with all college departments supporting the AEL grant to monitor and facilitate documenting compliance with state, regional, and programmatic regulatory and governing standards, including but not limited to, laws, regulations, statutes, codes, policies, procedures, rules, and directives. This position will report to the AEL director.


**This is a 100% grant-funded position. Therefore, the continuation of the position is subject to continued external funding.**
Required Qualifications:


Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to document, achieve, and maintain quality and compliance with the requirements of the grant agency and regulatory institutions.

  • Liaison to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and act as a primary point of contact for the AEL program with the TWC, ensuring clear communication and addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding the program's compliance.

  • Lead compliance auditing and observation by designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive audit and observation plan to evaluate staff, processes, and program activities for adherence to AEL grant requirements, state and federal regulations, and college policies.

  • Monitor and document compliance by collaborating with all departments involved in the AEL grant to establish and maintain systems for monitoring compliance with relevant standards. This includes developing and overseeing documentation procedures to ensure proper record-keeping of compliance activities.

  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement. Identify areas where AEL program practices can be improved and recommend and implement corrective actions or suggest updates to policies and procedures.

  • Provide regular reports regarding the status of compliance activities, including audit findings, corrective actions taken, and any identified areas of risk.

Knowledge of AEL grant requirements, Guidelines for Instructional Programs in Workforce (GIPWE) regulations, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Guidance for Grants and Agreements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.




Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of experience with documenting and reporting state, regional, or federal compliance.




Preferred


Master's from an accredited institution.

$68,256.00
Compensation is determined based on experience.
