Head Softball CoachSalary: $8,000*Reports to: Director of Athletics/BSC
Duties will include, but are not limited to; Leading all phases of the Intercollegiate Softball program. Recruiting within conference guidelines, teaching advanced softball skills, monitoring individual's academic process, overseeing the transportation of the team, participating in fundraising activities, encouraging and demonstrating good sportsmanship, and processing appropriate institutional and conference paperwork. The position reports directly to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for managing all assistant coaches and volunteers for the Softball program.Essential Functions

Work with the Athletic Director, department, and athletic commissioners to ensure compliance with all NWAC rules and regulationsLead entire Intercollegiate Softball programRecruit within conference guidelinesTeach advanced softball skillsAssist with the monitoring of the individual's academic progressOversee transportation of the teamLead fundraising activitiesProcess appropriate institutional and conference paperworkLead practices and games on weekday afternoons, evenings and weekendsPerform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

Minimum QualificationsExperience as a softball coachUnderstanding of intercollegiate softball rules and regulationsCurrent First Aid/CPR Certification

Desired QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalentExperience at the high school, club or college level Experience working in a community college.

Terms of Employment
Head Coaches will be paid $8,000 annually.Conditions of EmploymentPrior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position.
