General Summary of Position:


The multidisciplinary and collaborative lab of Prof. Gulden Camci-Unal at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks two Postdoctoral Research Associates with extensive experiences in bone tissue engineering, biomineralization, vascularization, osteoinductive biomaterials, in vivo studies, organ-on-chips, mono- and co-cultures of cells, biological assays to monitor cell behavior and function, and culture of human primary cell lines and stem cells for repair and regeneration of bone.


The initial appointment will be for one-year with a possibility of renewal based on productivity, successful performance and the availability of funding.


Minimum Qualifications (Required):


Education:


  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biology or a related field

  • Industrial experience in 3D scaffolds and organ-on-chip technologies although not required can be a plus

  • Highly motivated candidates with strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal and teamwork skills are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience in bone tissue engineering, biomineralization, vascularization, osteoinductive biomaterials, in vivo studies, organ-on-chips, mono- and co-cultures of cells, biological assays to monitor cell behavior and function, and culture of human primary cell lines and stem cells for repair and regeneration of bone.
