Description:
Summary Description: The Whey Evaporator Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the evaporator in accordance with standard operating procedures while monitoring the quality of the processed product.
Schedule: 12 Hour Shift - 2,2,3 Schedule - 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
*Holiday's & Weekends Included
*$1.00 shift premium between 6pm and 6am, $1 shift premium on Saturdays & Sundays
Job Responsibilities:
Operate the HTST, evaporator and CIP system
Start up and shut down HTST, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
React quickly and adjust / troubleshoot equipment to maintain product specifications
Complete Daily Checklists
Handle and test chemicals
Enter data into MES computer system
Monitor and test product quality
Recognize and communicate potential deviant situations
Communicate clearly with the Quality Department, Cheese Production Operators and department management
Apply lockouts to equipment as required
Any additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to determine the root cause to issues that arise, using skills of investigation, organizing thoughts and conclusions, and presenting these solutions to others
Ability to deal with and understand different cultures
Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office products
Familiarity or ability to learn SAP, or similar integrated manufacturing system
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to support 24/7/365 operation
