This remote opportunity is open to candidates residing anywhere in the United States or Canada.



We are seeking an Associate Implementation Specialist to join our Managed Services team. The Associate Implementation Specialist is responsible for reviewing and understanding customer requirements collected by VelocityEHS Consultants and configure VelocityEHS’s suites of products to meet those requirements. As an Associate Implementation Specialist, you will work on a variety of implementation projects that will require in-depth troubleshooting and issue resolution within a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.



You have experience in a SaaS service organization/ department, working directly with internal teams to deliver specific services, working within specific contractual requirements. This role will require knowledge in software technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, VB.Net, MVC, XML, Microsoft SQL, and SSRS. You are an effective communicator and have a keen eye for detail, creative thinking, and exceptional problem-solving. As an Associate Implementation Specialist, you will understand the importance of delivering simple, easy to use software solutions to our clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities



  • Full lifecycle implementation and delivery of multiple enterprise-wide Environment, Health & Safety software solutions.

  • Configure new and existing systems based on customer business requirements.

  • Handle technical support requests and issues relating to implementation and scoping enhancements.

  • Investigate, diagnose VelocityEHS application issues/bugs.

  • Recognize areas for system tuning/improvements, provide recommendations, and authoring of clear and reproducible bug reports for the product department.

  • Setup and install VelocityEHS application(s) while following IT system procedures through regular backups, upgrades, and deployments.

  • Design, analyze, plan, and develop code-based customizations (such as notifications, API integrations, webparts, reports, components/fields, and search filters and outputs).

  • Review needs and solutions documentation and provide estimates for configurations with supervised guidance.

  • Perform quality assurance testing on system configurations and customizations

  • Complete deployments for all environments.

  • Communicate with customers regarding technical details/troubleshooting (SSO setup, technical requirement explanations, etc.)

  • Use and update internal tools (add new features, modify, maintain, and improve existing features) with supervised guidance.

  • Meet strategic objectives that help meet company goals regarding results, quality, and productivity standards

  • Ensure effective working relationship with various departments to accomplish shared objectives that support a positive customer experience

  • Experience working in a remote-friendly company, using online tools and software to configure
    implementation projects and daily work

  • Detail-oriented, multi-tasking working style, working on multiple projects at once

  • Collaborative approach and team-player mentality


Minimum Skills and Qualifications



  • 1-2 years technical experience (Excel, SQL, Databases, SSRS, C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET) and / or implementing software (with production data access), working in a complex, fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor’s or College Degree in Computer Science, Programming, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • Beginner object-oriented programming skills and knowledge.

  • Knowledge in Microsoft 10/11 Operating Systems, Windows Servers, and Microsoft SQL Server and Databases (writing queries and scripts), MVC and MVVM software design patterns, software testing, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Python, Node.js, SSO, ASP.NET

  • Experience in XML configuration, writing code in an IDE (Microsoft Visual Studio), Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

  • Self-starter that can collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team

  • Experience maintaining a high level of activity, working on multiple projects, and working effectively in a team environment

  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in articulation of issues, risks, and proposed solutions

  • Strong attention to detail, policies, and procedures with the ability to identify and recommend improvement opportunities

  • Strong computer literacy and ability to navigate large data sets and web-based products/solutions

  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) and web conferencing software



Preferred Skills and Qualifications



  • Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment

  • Beginner C# programming skills and knowledge.

  • Experience working in a Project Team

  • Flexible and able to work within established branding and product specs

  • Experience working remotely

VelocityEHS is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices by offering market-based salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is between $65,050 and $81,800 USD (United States) or $62,200 and $75,800 CAD (Canada). We aim to hire between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range and offers at the maximum of the range are uncommon. The final offered salary will be based on candidate’s proficiency in skill set, prior relevant experience, internal equity, market considerations, and other factors. This role is also eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.
