About the Role:

As the Sr. Manager, Technology Solutions you will manage a product management team comprising of product managers, product owners and business analysts spanning across one or more technology solution products that maximize the business value of the Federal Reserve in an agile environment. The team consists of technical and/or professional, co-located and/or remote staff. This role will be responsible for directing resource assignments, setting tactical team priorities, monitoring the quality of work from the team and taking appropriate action as necessary to make improvements.

You will manage professional employees and/or supervisors or supervise large, complex support, production or operations team(s). You have accountability for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function. Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan.

You Will:


  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps that align with the strategic goals and long-term vision to ensure delivery of quality products.

  • Keep abreast of the technology trends and identifies opportunities that benefit the customer.

  • Maintain a broad understanding of the business domains. Provides oversight to ensure the right technology services are delivered to meet the customers’ expectations and risks are managed appropriately.

  • Manage day-to-day operations for the organization unit and services with minimal guidance. Responsible for the performance and results of the function.

  • Manage all aspects of the daily operational tasks to ensure technology services are operating according to the agreed upon performance targets and service levels in alignment with established priorities.

  • Clearly communicate priorities and performance expectations, provide regular and timely feedback and coaching and conduct performance appraisals for direct reports.

  • Accountable for quality and timeliness of deliverables produced by staff. Develop others through coaching, feedback and stretch assignments.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with the customers and co-providers.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and overall satisfaction of quality product(s) and services.

  • Participate in System and/or District-wide initiatives influencing policies, standards and practices.  

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

You Have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field. Graduate degree a plus.

  • Five years of relevant work experience, with at least two years of direct supervisory responsibilities or directing the work of others with increasing levels of responsibility.

  • 2-3 years of product management knowledge and expertise in developing product roadmaps and product visions.

  • Previous experience leading people is a plus.

  • Product Management or Agile certifications is a plus.

  • Ability to lead team(s) within an agile environment.

  • Experience in attracting, developing and retaining high performing professionals.

  • Highly proficient written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences adjusting style to fit the target audience.

  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements.

  • Experience developing and maintaining internal and external customer relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and practically.
