Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This position will act as a liaison between business unit operations and laboratory operations. They will be trained on state, federal, and global regulations in order to assess and advise on sample test planning. This position will review material lists and test plans with the customer service teams based on such regulations.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Act a liaison between the business unit's client services teams, the chemical lab operations, and technical managers.
Review sample material lists prepared by client services for completeness and accuracy.
Review test assignments prepared by client services against client's test request form or client's test protocols.
Clarify sampling requirements with chemical lab and regulatory requirements with technical managers where needed.
Triage samples to create material lists and test assignments as needed.
Instruct client service team members to clarify client's test requirements where needed.
Advise chemical report writing team of correct regulatory citations as needed.
Good time management, follow up and sense of urgency.
Highly motivated, dependable, and detail oriented.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Technical background in Furniture Testing/Chemistry testing is a definite plus.
Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
Provides guidance and/or leadership to others, including indirect reports, peers, or managers
Provides efficiency and coordination between chemistry lab and client services
Supports client questions
Advises chemistry team
Collaborative problem solving • analyzing data for the best outcomes
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science degree (B.S in Chemistry, Physics or Biology Required preferred).
Client facing experience Preferred
Familiarity with consumer product standards and methodologies Required related to CPSIA, ASTM, BIFMA, ASME, PROP 65 and ISTA, TPCH and corresponding European regulations is a plus
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast paced, highly professional environment.
