Monitors and analyzes project cost estimates, expenditures and forecasts.
Reviews subcontracts and purchase orders to obtain budgetary information for proper project budgeting; performs cost/profit analyses on change orders and extra work estimates
Maintains logs as needed to track deliverables
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of various essential reports and schedules; i.e., Subcontractor Status Reports, Contract and Change Order Logs, Cost to Complete reports, etc. for the purpose of preparing accurate triannual Forecasts
Is familiar with Company accounting systems and how to utilize each
Supports project management team in the preparation of CTC Reports and triannual forecasts; assist with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing
Coordinate with project management teams to resolve project issues to ensure the completion of the project work according to budget
Assist project management team in quantity tracking; executed and quantities to be executed in all project activities for Prince, subcontractors and vendors
Assists project management team in claim preparation for all assigned projects
Help maintain the cost monitoring system (SPE / HeavyJob / eCMS / DRT)
Handles confidential legal and financial information on a regular basis
Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
Associate degree in finance, engineering or similar preferred, but not required
At least three (3) years of experience within a heavy highway construction environment
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, namely Excel
Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, schedule, organize, and prioritize activities
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work well with many different teams
Works diligently against deadlines, sets goals and achieves them, persists through obstacles, ensures work is timely and accurate
Extreme attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve problems by analyzing information skillfully and developing alternative solutions
