Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00a-5:30p
Contract: up to six month
Job Summary:
As a Customer Service Representative (CSR) you will be the primary point of contact for our members and providers. You will assist with inquiries related to Medi-Cal programs in Orange County, ensuring fair and effective resolution of member issues. You will provide essential information regarding eligibility, enrollment, benefits, and services to our eligible members and providers.
Position Responsibilities:
Foster a mission-driven culture focused on high-quality performance, customer service, consistency, dignity, and accountability.
Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and priorities.
Address member and provider inquiries, including eligibility, enrollment, claims, authorization status, benefit interpretation, and medical care referrals/authorizations, both in-person and telephonically.
Build and maintain internal and external relationships through prompt and accurate service.
Identify and communicate potential challenges using professional judgment while adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
6 months of experience in a call center environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bilingual in English and one of the following languages (Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese).
Preferred Qualifications:
6 months of experience in health maintenance organizations (HMO), Medi-Cal/Medicaid, or health services.
Typing speed of 35 words per minute (WPM).
