About This Position

This is a full-time, 40-hrs/wk, non-exempt position that will be working in our Keene, NH location.
This position is eligible for benefits and has a starting rate of $19/hr.

The House Manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations and administration of the program including running the program, submitting reports, directing staff, training, scheduling, etc.
This is a hands-on supervisory position in which this House Manager will not only supervise the Direct Care Staff, but also actively provide support for the three residents including participating in medication administration and helping with any medical incidents that may occur.


Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide for the staffing and operation of a specific residence, including hiring and scheduling staff,
    budgeting, shopping, cleaning etc.
  • Ensure individuals maintain a clean, safe and healthy home environment.
  • Implement all ISP objectives for Residential and CPS as well as ADL’s.
  • Facilitate communications between Service Coordinators, other Community Strategies staff,
    family members and other relevant parties.
  • Evaluate staff performance at least annually and provide on-going supervision to all staff.
  • Ensure that complete and appropriate individual records are maintained in accordance with
    DHHS and Community Strategies regulations and policies.
  • Foster good relations with neighbors, local merchants and the community at large to promote a
    better living standard for individuals living with intellectual disabilities.
  • Ensure that personal, medical and nursing care, behavior plans, teaching programs and other
    services are delivered by program staff in an appropriate and consistent manner.
  • Empower individuals to speak out for themselves, initiate ideas, and exercise choice about
    needed supports.
  • Provide for normal developmental experiences by informing and encouraging
    individuals to participate in social and cultural activities in the community.
  • Performs other job-related projects and activities as requested or directed.

  • Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years’ related experience preferred.

  • Travel requirements:
  • Travel around town
  • Minimal travel out of town

  • Work Environment:
  • Services to be performed in-home settings
  • Some Office Environment, Frequent exposure to computer screens

  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times

    Community Strategies (CS) supports adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities through specialized services that include Day Programs, Shared Living arrangements with providers, as well as over forty community-based group homes. Social Justice Services (SJS), supports those leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions through residential and non-residential programs. Behavioral Health (BH) has worked to break cycles of violence, crime, and incarceration by providing client-centered interventions and support services to empower and strengthen individuals, families, and communities. BH provides domestic violence treatment and education, community reentry services, mentoring programs, and intensive outpatient programs. The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) is a non-profit organization working at the local, state, and national level to improve public safety and the delivery of justice. CJI provides technical assistance, research, and other services to improve outcomes in policing, the corrections system, pre-trial, re-entry, community supervision, and juvenile justice.
