Job Profile Summary

The Commnet Senior Manager, Field Operations, oversees and supports our field operations across a diverse geographical area. This pivotal role involves working closely with supervisors and front-line employees to ensure that all sites within the territory are maintained to the highest standards. The Senior Manager, Field Operations provides comprehensive training and support, managing time effectively and implementing disciplinary actions as needed, to ensure team operational efficiency and compliance. The role demands a hands-on approach to leadership and a strong ability to manage teams across dispersed locations, ensuring consistent operational excellence and adherence to company policies. This position requires a professional who is adept at fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment while driving the strategic objectives of our network operations.

This position can be based in Albuquerque or in the Gallup, NM area

Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

  • Oversee the maintenance and operational standards of sites within the designated territory to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors and front-line employees, providing leadership and support to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to elevate team skills and knowledge, adapting to new technologies and processes.
  • Manage time effectively across the team, ensuring that tasks and projects are completed within set deadlines.
  • Execute disciplinary actions when necessary, maintaining discipline and adherence to company policies among team members.
  • Foster a cohesive team environment, especially across geographically dispersed locations, to ensure consistent operations and communication.
  • Monitor and report on the operational status and progress of sites, taking corrective action as needed to align with overall strategic goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Years Experience: 4 - 6 Yrs.
  • Minimum Education: High School / Trade School or equivalent experience.

  • Possess a valid Driver's License and meet the requirements of the Department of Transportation physical.
  • Extensive practical experience in telecommunications or a related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of outside plant operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing multi-level teams, including front-line employees, managers, and supervisors.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a track record of effectively handling operational challenges and crises.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, essential for team coordination and maintaining high standards across diverse geographical areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a role that required managing operations across a large, geographically dispersed territory.
  • Advanced training or certification in project management, telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and adapt to new technologies and processes within the telecommunications industry.
