Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Coordinates activities of field service technicians engaged in resolving customer problems and complaints concerning breakdowns of customer equipment and/or rental equipment or routine maintenance.

  • Answers all incoming service calls, during normal business hours, as well as after hours emergency service calls.
  • Advises subordinates on handling difficult customer complaints, or handles complaints personally.
  • Confers with managerial personnel to recommend changes in order to avoid recurring customer complaints.
  • Coordinates all field service calls by creating work orders and assigning technicians to jobs based on the skill level of the technician.
  • Records all service calls in dispatch log and tracks and reports daily average response time.
  • Schedules PM maintenance with customers, as well as rental equipment and reports PM completion rates monthly.
  • Reviews all field service work orders prior to closing, to verify that all costs are invoiced correctly.
  • Monitors GPS periodically to ensure that all technicians are at the job site and compares GPS results to time cards daily.
  • Issues and receives service purchase order numbers for sublet labor, van repair and other service related expenses.


Qualifications:

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; administrative experience necessary
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge and abilities of Microsoft Office products
