Legal Project Manager

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is a national law firm with a proven reputation for providing progressive, industry-leading legal, business, regulatory and government relations advice to our regional, national and international clients.

We are currently searching for a Legal Project Manager role for our Philadelphia, PA location. The project manager will provide appropriate administrative support such as calendaring, file maintenance, opening matters, assigning tasks, and e-filing.

Our Firm currently operates on a hybrid work schedule. Employees work in the office three days per week and work two days remotely from home.

A dedicated project manager will handle the following:

  • Running conflicts and opening matters;
  • Calendaring due dates, hearing dates, etc.;
  • Keeping track of personnel working on cases in a variety of jurisdictions;
  • Preparing form documents such as entries of appearances, and pro hac vice applications;
  • Organizing and maintaining cases files,;
  • Processing requests for settlement payments; and
  • Electronic filings with various courts.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • No prior law firm experience required, but a desire to learn legal project management is essential
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and anticipate needs
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications
  • Ability to professionally interact with clients, attorneys and staff
  • Ability to work overtime, as required
