Vitalant is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Medical Laboratory Technician, is vital. Operating within a highly regulatory environment, you will contribute to Vitalant's life saving mission by performing QC testing on our donated blood products, and helping as needed with laboratory tasks including component production, labeling, record reviewing and data entry.

What to Expect?

Schedule: Days: This scheduled start time may rotate:

• 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday - Friday


• 10:00 AM-6:00 PM Monday - Friday


• This position rotates every 3rd W/E (11:30 AM - 9:30 PM) with W/E shift differential.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of data records and documentation.


• Perform moderate complexity testing including CMV, Hgb S testing, and operation of a cell counter.


• Manage the labeling of routine and special components and review criteria to determine product acceptability.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in medical laboratory Technician or Clinical Lab Technician required.


• Medical Lab Technician (MLT) certification required or qualification for CLIA High Complexity required (i.e. ASCP MLT)


• One year of laboratory experience required OR M LT certification in lieu of one year experience.
