The Senior Technician Materials and Planning for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for optimization of market through proper sizing of Kanban items using Danaher Dynamic Kanban Calculator to ensure proper sizing recommendations are established, disposition and ordering of Expired Material to avoid stock outs and improve OTD, E&O scrap disposition of non-moving inventory stocked for MFG. as well as Service support, document filing and storage coordination with "Iron Mountain"



This position is part of the Materials and Planning department working onsite at Beckman Coulter. Our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.



You will be a part of the Materials and Planning Dept. and report to the Materials Manager responsible for Shipping/Receiving & Distribution responsible for Receiving, Stockroom and logistics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:




  • Verify the accuracy of orders and inspect the conditions of products upon delivery.




  • Update records and databases using (Oracle) ERP system, reporting any discrepancies to area team lead/management.




  • Identifying and correcting any problem receipts while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices as part of an FDA-controlled medical device company.






The essential requirements of the job include:




  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of experience




  • Experience in warehousing and receiving.




  • Knowledge of Lean mfg. principles such as 5s, FIFO, Dynamic Kanban, 3P and VSM.






It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:




  • Manufacturing environment, order fulfillment in a (Medical device) environment, materials control environment or planning.




  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or APICS.
