Job Description:

Nature & Scope:


A Maintenance Tech is responsible to ensure all equipment is working and that routine maintenance is done.  The Maintenance Tech is to have a strong mechanical ability and complete understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.  


Specific Job Responsibilities & Duties:



  • Detect malfunctions through observation

  • Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality

  • Repair broken or faulty machine parts

  • Perform emergency repairs

  • Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs

  • Align and calibrate machine parts

  • Follow safety rules and regulations

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment

  • Observing mechanical devices in operation to locate the sources of problems and ensure the proper functioning of the machines


Experience:



  • High School Diploma/GED 


  • Previous experience as a maintenance tech or similar role




  • Completion of Technical/Vocational training




  • Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics




  • Ability to read and/or interpret machinal, pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints or schematics




  • Familiarity using various power and hand tools, such as hosts and grinders




  • Functional knowledge of mechanical components




  • Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads




  • Problem solving and organizational skills




  • Basic understanding of electrical and control wiring




  • Reads and follows manuals, blue prints, and other written instructions
