What We're Looking For:


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder with the following qualifications:


- 5 years' experience in welding with direct involvement in fabricating to national or international standards.

- Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW processes for various materials such as carbon steels, low alloy steels, stainless steels, and aluminum.

- Ability to read blueprints and drawings and take precise measurements to plan layout and welding procedures.

- Experience in setting up components for welding, including cutting materials with powered saws and preparing parts with angle grinders.

- Proficient in aligning components using calipers, rulers, and other measuring devices, as well as setting up weldments and assemblies using fixtures and clamps.

- Experience using manual, semi-automatic, and automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).

- Skilled in using multiple thermal cutting processes, including plasma arc, oxyfuel gas, and carbon arc gouging.

- Experience in testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality and safety standards.

- Ability to maintain welding equipment in safe and efficient working order.


Additional Consideration Given For:


- Candidates with professional certifications or those who have completed welding qualifications in accordance with NAVSEA and/or AWS standards.

- Applicants with two years of post-high school education in a welding curriculum and at least six months of experience in welding functions where multiple welding processes and materials are used.

- Ability to work nights and weekends as required for project demands.
