Market Manager- Cutting Machines/ National CNC Cut Automation Marketing Manager Location: Burr Ridge, IL Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Market Manager- Cutting Machines/ National CNC Cut Automation Marketing Manager to join our team! Work closely with our vendors on programs with existing product to create new opportunities. This position will also work closely with and promote our offerings to our Metal Fabrication Productivity Team (technical sales team), our territory managers, national marketing team and the senior director. Scope: Headquartered in Linde's Chicago Burr Ridge office, this individual contributor is accountable for serving as a specialist to obtain profitable contracts with large, key and/or complex accounts driving CNC Cut Automation and consumable sales to the LG&E regions, and end users. Travel of a minimum of 40% will be required working with our regions throughout the US. Financial goals will be assigned to this position with review and feedback to obtain them throughout the year. Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director of Metal Fabrication Principal Responsibilities : - Promote sales growth, introduce the organization's programs and provide account service to assigned and potential customers. Focuses new business development, maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting specific customer problems. - Responsible for the quoting process and pricing strategy in conjunction with regional sales management on opportunities. Will make end user sales calls in conjunction with the technical sales team as required. - Conduct training throughout the organization with a strong focus in CNC Cut Automation along with national training held in Burr Ridge approximately 4 times a year. - Support and implement marketing plans and promotions as required. - Serves as the technical and product expert to the sales team on prospective customer opportunities and provides solutions through automation to existing and new accounts. - Secure long term customer relationship by negotiating straightforward agreements and large capital equipment sales and try to tie in all consumables and gases that Linde sells. - Act as a liaison between legal and regional sales team to ensure contractual purchase agreements are drafted correctly to protect region from liability. - Responsible for finding new vendors and products to grow the department and work with our internal R&D team on future solutions. - Understands competitive activity and strategies with in assigned area/group of customers and monitors competitive activity and maintains competitive intelligence databases. - Builds and manages relationships with assigned customers, using the Linde organization to strengthen and broaden those relationships when appropriate. - Managing team of 10+ Service Technicians along with National Cut Automation Service manager - Represent Linde in a professional and dignified manner at all times.
