Position Summary

Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept The Resource Center for Students with Children strives to support students with children in achieving life balance that helps them stay the course to successful completion of their academic goals. RCSC also works to advocate for changes at PSU that make the university as a whole more friendly and accessible for students with children.
Position Summary Services for Students with Children strives to support students with children in achieving life balance that helps them stay the course to successful completion of their academic goals. SSWC also works to advocate for changes at PSU that make the university as a whole more friendly and accessible for students with children. The Jim Sells Childcare Subsidy Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the Jim Sells Childcare Subsidy Program, including:
  • Collecting and reviewing applications
  • Determining student eligibility based on financial analysis
  • Approving invoices and payments to students
  • Providing programmatic information to students with children
  • Managing questions and concerns via phone and email
  • Tracking and forecasting spending
  • Managing partnerships with external care providers
  • Documenting policies and procedures related to program
  • Adjusting financial aid records to accommodate childcare payments
Minimum Qualifications from Classification Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR
Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology AND one year of general clerical experience.

Note:
College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for this Position
  • Demonstrated ability with word processing and spreadsheet software tools (Microsoft Office).
  • Proficient in Excel.


Preferred Qualifications ? Experience working in higher education and/or working with student population.

? Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.

? Spanish bilingual
? Financial aid experience

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $17.24 and $19.29 dependent upon qualifications and experience with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
